Handrails

Handrails are an essential component of most seating systems, supporting safety, accessibility and compliance. A selection of commonly used handrail options is outlined below.

Self-storing handrails

These handrails are attached to the unit, remaining in place during both operation and use. Passing by each other as the retractable unit is operated, they are considered the most convenient handrail. Note: Only available with removable rails.

Vertical handrails

These handrails are used along the top rows of the retractable units when a back wall is not available, or when the overall height of the unit is close to a ceiling or the undercroft of a storage area. They are also required for freestanding portable units.

P handrails

These handrails are often required in aisleways where spectators access the aisles and move through them from both sides. They are an intermediate handrail which provide an extra point of support, helping guide foot traffic.

Platform & deck finishes

Platform and deck surfaces can be selected to suit durability, maintenance and visual requirements. A range of finish options are available to support different facility needs and applications.

Side curtains and vertical drapes provide a clean, enclosed finish to seating systems while supporting safe use and visual presentation. Self-storing options allow curtains and drapes to move seamlessly with the seating system, maintaining a tidy appearance when in use or stored.

Power supply

Glide systems are configured to suit local power requirements, with a 3-phase 415V motor and plug-in pendant control supplied as standard. Remote control options are available.
